Thank you very much for your time in helping us cook our fish and chips in your kitchen. It was really generous of you letting us cook in your shop and I don’t believe many other shops would do that. That was a really big part in our Amazing Race and you guys made it happen. I can’t believe that you took about 120 kids in 30 groups and taught us how to make fish and chips.
The fish and chips were really yummy and in the cold weather they really warmed us up. You were very kind in teaching us how to make fish and chips. We also learnt that fish and chips with Watties tomato sauce is a New Zealand favourite.
After we cooked our food we went down to the park where we got a drink and had to eat all our fish and chips before we could get our next clue and headed down to the library.
Thank you very much for taking the time out of your day to help transport and encourage us in our Amazing Race. I liked it when you helped us get around Waihi in a flash while there was the busy beach hop on. It was really funny when Georgia and I ran through the tunnel and came out with black smudged all over the front of our tee-shirts. When we were in Waihi it was so kind of you when you to brought us an ice-block to cool us down in that heat.
An activity that I really enjoyed was when we went to Katikati and went running all over town to answer the questions and find the answers. The activity that I thought we found difficult was when we went to Te Puna Quarry and we had to find the pictures of the statues. The thing I learnt was how to read a map properly and if you look more closely you can find bridges and streams.
I believe that our team did a really good job by using our stars. We worked as a team a lot and completed all the challenges and we didn’t need a fast forward. You were a big help in our group because when we were lost you would give us hints in what direction we needed to go. You also helped us read the map so we didn’t get lost. Again, thank you very much in helping in our Amazing Race.
